The versatility of the BionX electric motor kit allow the system to fit to almost any bike. Since we’ve been installing this conversion kit on bikes for a few years now, we’ve seem some wild BionX installations. BionX Recumbent Bikes
BionX on a Scorpion Recumbent Trike
This one is for the laid-back rider. Wish your recumbent had some electric power so you can zip through the streets? The BionX kit is perfect for this long wheelbase. Even Bert has a BionX recumbent.
BionX Trike
These 3-wheeled vehicles are perfect candidates for a BionX system, so long as you use the Tadpole version with two wheels in the front. It’s one of the most stable electric conversions you can build. Read about BionX Trikes.
BionX Comfort Bike
BionX on a Rivendell Step-Through
A nice step-through frame and nice swept-back handlebars create a comfortable, upright riding position. Install a BionX electric motor and you’ve got a sweet electric ride. This is the best electric conversion for weekend riders, cruising, and easy-going commuters. It’s one of the most popular electric conversions in our shop. We’ve done our fair share of BionX Comfort Bikes.
BionX Road Bike
BionX on a Bianchi Axis
Not your typical conversion, but we see a lot of avid cyclists who want to “electrify” their bikes like a Tour de France rider (ouch!). But seriously, the BionX Road Bike is a lightweight option for the sportier bike rider. It takes a few extra modifications, like the in-line brake sensor, but it has one of the best rides out of all the electric conversions. Just don’t enter into any races with it.
