Summer Streets, the biggest car-free event in New York City history, is on the horizon. We are calling all cyclists, e bikers, folding bikers, kick scooterists, walkers, joggers, dogs, families and New Yorkers to come out and show their love for livable streets.
For three consecutive Saturdays in August, Aug 9th, 16th and 23rd, the DOT will close streets connecting Central Park to the Brooklyn Bridge, including Park Avenue starting at 72nd. The streets will be car-free for six hours, available for people to sit, walk, ride, relax, dance, play and sing. Please be sure to get up ealry and join us.
